La Semana Santa (28/03/2012-08/04/2012):
Exhibition of Minature Holy Week Statues replicas of those used in La Semana Santa in Spain with special feature on those of the cities of Sevilla and Malaga. La Semana Santa d'Espana, organized by the Youths' Section within the Society of Saint Mary & King George V Band of Mqabba, is held in the Main Halls of the Society and it comprises of Minature statues, hundreds of photos from Sevilla and Malaga, paintings and audio visual documentaries about the Holy Week in Spain. The official opening will be held on the 28th March 2012 with a musical performance by the King George V Band in front of the Club. This unique exhibition will remain open for public viewing till Easter Sunday, 8th April 2012.
Double CD (For Sale):
The Society of Saint Mary & King V Band has just launched a Double CD featuring all Marian Hymns performed by the King George V Band during the Music Soiree held on the 28th October 2011 at the Mqabba Parish Church on the occasion of the 175th year of the Titular Statue of Saint Mary venerated in Mqabba. Annual General Meeting (19/02/2012):
Executive Committee is inviting all members within the Society of Saint Mary & King George V Band of Mqabba for its annual general meeting which will be held next Sunday 19th February 2012 at the Club. Administrative and financial reports will be presented by every section within the Society including reports on last celebrated Titular Feast 2011. The Youths Section within the Society of Saint Mary & King George V Band will be organizing a carnival soiree' at the main square of Mqabba in front of the Club's premises. Meditative Rosary (09/02/2012):
Meditative Rosary will be held at the main hall at the Saint Mary Band Club this Thursday 9th February 2012. Rosary will be held by members of the Legion of Mary. CET 19.00hrs.
Coffee Morning (09/02/2012):
The Women's Section within the Society will organize a Coffee Morning at the Saint Mary Band Club next 9th February from 9:30am onwards. All female supporters are encouraged to attend. Activity includes tombola and various spot prizes.
Courtesy visit by MEP Edward Scicluna (05/02/2012):
MEP Professor Edward Scicluna made a courtesy visit at the Society of Saint Mary & King George V Band. Professor Scicluna had the opportunity to meet with the Administrative Committee and various supporters of the Club.

Mr Jack Galea (05/01/2012):
The Society of Saint Mary & King George V Band of Mqabba pays tribute to Mr Jack Galea, well known among us as Gakki c-Cnieru and active member within the Saint Mary Fireworks Group who passed away today 5th January 2012. Funeral will be held tomorrow at the Saint Mary Parish Church of Mqabba. Rest in peace Jack and thank you for all your efforts in aid of our Society and the Titular Feast of Saint Mary. The Society of Saint Mary & King George V Band of Mqabba welcomed the new year 2012 with a noble gesture when on initiative of Mr Roderick Tonna, member within the Youths' Section, donated the sum of €325 to the Director of id-Dar tal-Providenza. Well done for the initiative.
